Greetings Blood Bowl fans!
This is mostly for my benefit, as I like keeping track of things in games I play but I thought it might be fun to attempt to document the Blood Bowl season my friends and I are playing.
It will be infrequent and disjointed as getting everyone together to play games is like mobilizing an army these days, but still....
After a couple of tester games to make sure everyone enjoys playing, we picked our teams and arranged the first real match to kick off the proceedings.
First up, the teams.

Draws were made at random for the first game and the opening round was
Jar's Rats vs The Killosaurs
Thunder Pass vs the Dunstabelle Distractions
The Horndale Hammers vs The Valkyries
The pitches were set up, the players seated and the games begun!
Things started off on a nice brutal note with the Hammer's fans knocking seven bells out of the Valkyrie's lineswoman Liz with a thrown rock or twelve, causing her to miss the rest of the game.
Over on another pitch, The Distraction's own Katrina the Knuckles opened up the first block of the game, killing the norseman Volstag Facepunch outright in a stunning display of feminine aggression.
The Rats and the Lizards got off to a slow start at first, but that didn't stop Speedy Gonzales, Gutter Runner for the Rat's from achieving the season's first touchdown!
He was followed in quick succession by Thunder Pass lineman Thor Sacksplitter who broke through the Distraction's line and took Thunder Pass 1 touchdown ahead.
Over at the Valkyrie-Dome, the plucky Amazons and stalwart Dwarves had each other at loggerheads, neither able to break through the line of the other or do any significant damage until finally Valkyrie Tina used her keen eye and strong arm to launch a perfect throw to Laura who brought it to the endzone for the Valkyries.
Not wanting to be outdone, Long-Bomb Lucy sets up a throw of her own sending the ball sailing over attempted intercepting arms of the norseman berserker Sven Goring and into the waiting catcher's mitt of Daisy Downfield who gets those long legs a-moving and flies down to Thunder Pass's endzone.
More estrogen-fueled violence erupts as Dunstabelle Lineswoman Teener launches a crippling kick to Bjorn Bonebreak's knee, shattering it and making him walk with a limp for the rest of his career. Katrina The Knuckles also embraces the bloodlust so rampant on the pitch, putting another of the norseman down for the game.
A burst of speed and whiskers takes it's opportunity to hurtle past the lumbering Kroxigor Tri-Terror-Tops as skaven linesman Squeek takes the ball all the way, bringing the Rats 2-1 ahead as we approach halftime!
And that's where we leave it for now, as it was midnight and we didn't want to play the next half that night!
